Just because summer is over doesn’t mean we can’t still have outdoor fun! In fact, the cooler weather here in Long Beach can make dog-friendly adventures even more enjoyable. And of course, we can’t forget about Halloween and all the tricks and treats Long Beach has in store for our pets!
If your pup is barkin’ at a knot from boredom, now is the perfect time to scope out pet-friendly activities in the Long Beach area. We put together a list of fun and furry fall events for you, so get ready to leash up the pups and lickety split!

We at Pet Waggin’ love hearing about pack walks like the Blockhead Pack Walks! They ask that you bring one dog per person, and meet with them every 3rd Saturday!

How lucky are we? A beach day in late October! We’re so excited about Corgi Beach Day for several reasons. For one, this event is FREE, and two, ALL dogs are welcome! The SoCal Corgi Beach Day organizers have broken world records by having 1200+ corgis in past attendance, but they love and welcome all breeds of dogs (and their humans)! If you want to add some summer fun to your fall, grab a board and boogie down with your favorite pup!

“Before the Parade Passes By,” make sure you make it out to Marina Vista Park this fall to join the crowd! This is THE go-to Howl’oween event in Long Beach, as Haute Dog is expecting over 500 dogs in costume parading to raise money for local spay/neuter and adoption groups. And don’t forget to pick a costume for yourself AND your pet and show off your Howl’oween skills—It’s FREE for humans (adults and children) to wear costumes and enter the contest and parade!
